You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Well, this must be Casper the Friendly Ghost, who'd normally want to make friends rather than scare people. However, ghosting is clearly a closed-shop deal: Casper must scare people, or lose his ghost powers.

Yes, OUB, that's it. The quote's from the short "Not Ghoulty," when he loses his ghostly powers as punishment for refusing to scare people. He gets them back by disguising himself as a ghost exterminator. Definitely one of his better moments.

So you go again. Good job. :)

All these lines are from the same character, rationalizing with himself.

"I can't believe it. My best friend." [brightens instantly] "But, ten thousand dollars! Justice must be served."

Unfortunately, I can't find this quote anywhere, not even on Google.

Hint: "best friend" really doesn't cover it. Even BFF falls short. This character and his shadow are inseparable, always being regarded as a pair. Peanut butter and jelly, doughnuts and holes, Abbott and Costello.

Oh, dear, no love for poor Dale from Disney's The Lone Chipmunks. This is in the early days before they became Rescue Rangers, and went around stark naked. Head-to-toe in chipmunk fur, of course, but still unclothed. When Chip's head pokes through a Wanted poster. Dale mistakenly believes his closest companion has turned Evil, and bemoans the news. For a New York minute. Then, he brightens at the thought of ten thousand dollars, and concludes that Chip is expendable after all.

That's okay. The only reason I saw it is that, at the time, I had a working Laserdisc player, and it came with an MCA Disc-O-Vision of three Chip and Dale cartoons. The Lone Chipmunks was one of these, plus one with "Apple core / Baltimore / Who's your friend?" mechanic, and one where the chipmunks borrow Donald Duck's model sailboat to attain an acorn laden oak tree on an island in the middle of a lake.

Is the next turn up for grabs? If so, I have one.

That crabbing comes from Sally Brown, kid sister to Charlie "I got a rock" Brown. Sally sat with her Sweet Babboo, namely Linus van Pelt, in a pumpkin patch on Hallowe'en, awaiting The Great Pumpkin. This alleged pumpkin would emulate Santa Claus, and bestow goodies on faithful followers every 31st of October. Which is pure delusional bunk, and poor Sally came away with nothing instead of a bagful of mooched swag. Girls tend to get irritable about that, Sweet Babboo-ness notwithstanding. From Charles Schulz' Peanuts television feature It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.

Correct, it's Sally griping at Linus after the no-show of The Great Pumpkin.

So, it's griping time, is it? Okay, I know somebody who specializes in that.

Yup, the royal matchmaker lined up seven cute muffins as potential brides for Emperor Kuzco. The royal brat, deliciously voiced by David Spade, zarches all seven in one cutting pass. Good tracking, Em. :)
