You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Oh, could this be Buzz Conroy, son of the Professor, the kid who built Frankenstein Junior? That boy genius?

Nope, not that one either. This one has a dopey older sister who had a weakness for pushing his buttons. (literally)

Then that leaves only one boy: Dexter, from "Dexter's Laboratory."

Yes, this is Dexter, Boy Genius--as he calls himself. The episode in question is the pilot episode--later shown on the show itself as "Changes." This is the one where Dee Dee and Dexter fight over a remote control that transforms them into different animals. Just as Mom is about to come into Dexter's room to tell them that they'll be late for school if they don't hurry up, they transform back into themselves--well almost. Dee Dee is Dexter and Dexter is now Dee Dee. He shrugs and closes the short with this remark.

Thanks, Glowworm. Now for another untapped quote:

"The spoon slipped! He swallowed the spoon!"

This is Sweet Polly Purebred, trying to feed the giant ape Fearo The Ferocious. On her first attempt, too. Lord have mercy on her future puppies when she tries to spoon-feed them. Just smile and speak and sing off-key, Polly; leave the doing to the menfolk like Underdog.

Right, OUB. Good job. :). You know, I never understood why swallowing the spoon made him go berserk. Anyway, the next quote's all yours.

Maybe cartoon spoons don't taste good, even with ketchup? Anyway, in honor of solving the Doctor Schadenfreude character, let me field this quote:

"I don't believe that man has ever been to medical school."

That's Buzz Lightyear talking about Sid, from Toy Story.

That's precisely who said the quote: Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story. It has the added kick of Woody looking at him as if to ask, "Just how far off the rails are you, Buzz?" Good citing, Salty. :)

Thanks, Salty. Now for a set of quotes from something we keep pushing aside:

    "Forward, ho! Reverse, ho!"

"If you don't stop crashing, I'll give you the heave ho!"

Topical as ever, Em. :) This must be Launchpad McQuack and his boss, Scrooge McDuck. One has to wonder why McDuck keeps Launchpad as a pilot. Perhaps Launchpad's familiarity with every aircraft configuration is a huge plus. There's a world of difference between a WWII biplane, a Cessna Scout, and a C-130, but Launchpad can apparently get anything that flies up and running in one sitting. Closely related to Omnidisciplinary Scientist.

Okay, though I've been perusing the tropes lately, so my judgment is skewed.

"Have her bound and washed, then [dramatic pause] bring her to me."
    "And what of the bird?"

    "Kill it."

Hint: Ivan Reitman, long before Space Jam.

Aaaaand no takers. This is the Barbarian leader and his half-strangled underling from the trippy Columbia Pictures feature Heavy Metal. I guess I dudded, huh?

Okay, let me try an untapped but less risqué feature:

"Yo, that was crazy, right? Who knew? I mean it's all set, we good to go, we had the money. And he trips under water. Who in the halibut trips underwater? And by the way, on what?"
