You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

The Mystery Cartoon Character Game, now with 20% more ongoing.

    OK, got one.

I refused to move out of my home.
In fact, I decided to move the entire house.
But then I discovered an unwanted passenger.

Carl Fredericksen from Pixar's Up. He moves his entire house out of his home city with thousands of helium balloons. Carl discovers afterward that Boy Scout intern Russell has inadvertently come along with the house.

Yep, that's exactly who it is. Time to take your turn.

Okay, is there someone we're missing? Yup, fixing time.

    1) This character appears in a regularly televised completely animated series that's no longer in production. A feature film and derivatives have also been produced.

    2) Not quite the leader of the group, this character is more like Sergeant Tibbs to the Captain and the Colonel. Fortunately, the hierarchy system is rarely enforced.

    3) This is a cartoon show geared for children; this character, despite the name, is not an ecdysiast.

    Intermediate clues time.

    4) This character is the Yellow One among color-coded Good Guys. The other two are Red and Green.

    5) Collectively, this character and teammates are classified by TV Tropes as Free Range Children.

    6) This character is female, and almost human. Almost, but not quite. Not helping is the fact she has only one parent.

I looked up all the synonyms for stripper, and couldn't find any to fit this character. :(

Don't let that trip you up, Em. One variant of this routine involves using a soap by-product as the modesty censor. There's a Looney Tunes cartoon about one of these performers that gets exposed by a Harpo Marx character.

Well, I was going for Bubbles of The Powerpuff Girls, but obviously took the wrong tack. Once upon a time, there were bubble dancers and fan dancers: basically quasi-nudists performing for wealthy wastrels. Blossom has already been tapped, as has Mojo Jojo, so I thought I'd round out the trio. Oh well, I'll have a new character ready after dinner.

Yeah, I think the "not quite human" part tripped me up.

My fault. Let me try this one who's 100% non-human. We fumbled the ball with his co-star, so here's a chance to make amends.

    1) This character has appeared in a feature film, followed by two direct-to-video sequels.

    2) As part of a Five Man Band, this character qualifies as The Smart Guy, although not by much. Perhaps it's because he brings his own Idea Bulb with him.

    3) Talk about taking one for the team: this character suffers a horrible fate just so his associates can continue their quest.

    Intermediate clues time.

    4) Pixar is the first to make the "toys come to life when nobody's looking" concept using rendered animation. The concept itself predates Pixar's Toy Story, and can be found with this character's intrepid team.

    5) None of the daring travelers are human, not even close. They are seeking to reunite with a human character, however.

    6) Each character has a good reason for venturing from home into strange, perilous world seeking their mentor. This character recalls getting a critical transplant which gave him a new lease on life.

Nothing wrong with that thinking, as this is Lampy the desk lamp from Disney's The Brave Little Toaster. The others on the team are Toaster, Blankie the electric blanket, Radio and Kirby the upright vacuum cleaner. Good deducing, Salty. :)

    Whew, finally got one.

I appeared in two shorts, both from the same year.
In the first cartoon, I introduce performers.
In the second one, I set out to marry a wealthy widow.

    1. My talent agent uses all the tricks in the book to attempt to get a producer to have me audition for him.
    2. The producer is supposed to board an airplane. At one point he successfully does so, but my talent agent ends up being his pilot.
    3. I'm actually quite talented. However, for most of the short, I simply lick a lollipop and comment on my talent agent's bizarre behavior through a series of rebuses.

I know this one, but there's no way I can look for and come up with a character in the next few days.
