You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

The Mystery Cartoon Character Game, now with 20% more ongoing.

To be honest, I knew it had to be someone called Jane--and I figured it was from Daria. However, I have never really seen the show, or know that much about the characters.

Me, too. I'd seen snippets of MTV's Daria series centering on a blasé teen snarking about the fools that surround her, but I didn't have cable TV. I got the Jane Lane part easily enough, but that rang no bells in my head, and I'm loathe to let Google do my answering for me.

Well, seeing as how three days have gone by with no takers, I'll post another one, and make it nice and easy:

    1. Like many other one-shot characters, I'm only there long enough for a sight gag.

    2. My brief scene takes place in a lecture hall.

    3. I denounce the existence of flying saucers and little green men until I see for myself.

A UFO skeptic from "Rocket Bye Baby." How can one talk in disbelief about little green men, when one suddenly flies right by you?

Yes, Glowworm, it's the skeptical lecturer. Good job. :). You may go again.

    Got one.
    1. I am a parody of a well known host of a documentary series at the time.
    2. The title of the short I am in is also a play on the show I hosted.
    3. In this case, I narrate a prehistoric film recently found.

Actually, it isn't, you're in the right territory, but it's not Pre-Hysterical Hare.
    4. This short came out 2 years after "Pre-Hysterical Hare."
    5. At the end of the short, I step out for a coffee break--the elevator is "Good to the last drop."
    6. My voice is a quiet, rather soothing one that never really changes in emotion throughout the short--it isn't monotone or bored--just quiet and gentle.

    Final clues time
    7. There's a running gag of 3 cavemen trying to get breakfast--they're not doing a very good job.
    8. This is a Bob McKimson short--a one shot short to be exact.
    9. Another running gag is that to get to the basement in an elevator, all one really has to do is snip the elevator car.

Thanks, Glowworm. Now to use one that no one here has bothered with:

    1. I share my name with the youngest Jetson.

    2. I earn my nickname, ironically, from a mishap at a Costco.

    3. I marry the niece of the protagonist's wife.

Of course, knowing you, I figured this had to be it. I've never watched King of the Hill mind you, but I do know that Tom Petty voiced a character on it, and knowing of his totally unexpected death, this would be Elroy "Lucky" Kleinschmidt.
*sigh* We lost him WAY too soon. I unknowingly fell in love with a lot of his music as a child (I was born in the late 80s--Petty's stuff was pretty popular around that time so I heard a lot of his songs growing up) and later was very amused as a college student to find that most of the memorable and favorite songs I recalled from my childhood were all by him.

I thought my dad was kidding at first--he was WAY too casual about it as he drove me home from work.

Thanks, and here's one I'm surprised I never did sooner.
    1. I'm a supernatural bounty hunter and exterminator.
    2. My looks and mannerisms are based on a mixture of characters in a movie series played by Bruce Campell and Kurt Russel respectively.
    3. I am human--but I clearly sport a rather unique bionic hand--later on in a pilot series for a spinoff, I gain a bionic leg to match.

    More clues.
    4. My left hand is an interchangeable weapon--although it often takes the form of the classic chainsaw.
    5. At one point, I start dating a Greek goddess. Although this may sound awesome--she just so happens to be the goddess of chaos.
    6. The first episode I appear in has me attempting to take down the personification of death--in a museum of natural history.

Ah, had to go snooping through Swiss Army Appendage of TV Tropes to find him, but I did. Hey, it's not Google, so it's not Dastardly-class cheating. This is Hoss Delgado of The Grim Adventures of Billy And Mandy.
