    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

The Mystery Cartoon Character Game, ongoing-ier.

This is Millicent, the Easter egg laying chicken from Yogi the Easter Bear. Quite frankly, I only know that this special exists (remember, I am Jewish, and have hardly seen any Easter themed tv specials) because there was a bizarre package deal a few years back where you could get the live action Yogi Bear movie, with this Easter special, which apparently mentioned the chicken.

Glowworm, you scored. It certainly is Millicent. All clues are self-explanatory, so it's your turn once again. Great job. :)

Yeah, chickens laying easter eggs seems to be a pretty popular theme in cartoons.
Anyhow, I just thought of one.
    1. I used to advertise a certain type of chocolate.
    2. While not Easter themed--I am a rabbit.
    3. Said chocolate brand is also known for linking its easter chocolates with a clucking bunny.

Obviously, it's an advertising mascot for Cadbury, but I can't find it.

I think her name is Caramel or Caramelle, a product of Dragon Productions in the UK. Laugh-and-a-half: her voice comes from Miriam Margolyes, who played Professor Sprout in the Harry Potter films.

Yes, this is the Cadbury Caramel Bunny, a mascot used for Cadbury's caramel.

Sorry for the later than usual response. Our computer's moniter screen won't go on. I am using a laptop that I haven't used in a while right now as an experiment with our wii fi.

Ahhhh the joys of technology. Anyway, I've always loved the clucking bunny myself.

Yeah, that clucking bunny was adorable. Now we have a new monitor, but the only sound I can get is through my headphones.

Oops, sorry about this. I thought EmeraldIsle had ID'd the character, and that all I'd done was spackle in the details. But she insists that I got it right, so... (brace yourselves)

    1) This character appeared in a regularly televised animated series that's no longer in production, and as far as I know, no longer airing. It has been released on disc, however.

    2) This character can speak. Eloquently, too. Which comes as a mild surprise, considering his lineage.

    3) Not quite insufferable, but this character is a genius, or so he claims. Which is no surprise, considering his lineage.

Came up with the answer during my afternoon workout. It's Tech E. Coyote, from "Loonatics Unleashed."

    1. "Loonatics Unleashed" hasn't been in production since 2007. Both seasons are on DVD.

    2. Tech is able to speak eloquently, unlike his ancestor, Wile E., who never said a single word, except for a couple of Bugs Bunny shorts.

    3. Tech does call himself a genius.

Yep, that's him. "Go ahead and say it: I am a genius." So this is totally your +1 point, EI, and control of the board. I'm going to dinner now. :)

Thanks. Now here's one I've been holding off on:

    1. I'm the biggest and dopiest one in the pack.

    2. I'm easily fooled by the protagonist when he disguises himself as the animal my buddies and I are after.

    3. I catch a train! I catch a train! All by myself I catch a train!

This would be the dog from "Foxy by Proxy" An appropriate choice as the dog was voiced by the late Stan Freberg.

Yeah, Willoughby was the name of a similar dog from "Of Fox and Hounds."
    Here's a simple enough one.
    1. A single bite from me causes a frenzy in a certain habit.
    2. Technically, I am taking a vacation today.
    3. However, I can't help biting a tempting victim.

Yep. Tis the Gambling Bug from "Early to Bet."
    1. One bite from him causes gambling fever.
    2. The Gambling Bug announces that he'll leave his victims alone today. "After all, even the gambling bug needs a vacation."
    3. Yet he can't help biting a cat who doesn't want to play cards for penalties with the resident bulldog.

My little tribute to Stan Freberg who voices the Gambling Bug.

OK, I think I thought of one.

    1. I'm part of a show that has two other segments

    2. I'm an All-American kind of guy

    3. There's no such word as quit, give up, fail, etc. At least to me, anyway.
