Thanks, OUB. Now here's one I've been considering for quite a while, and should be much easier than the last one I posted:

1. Officially, I go by two names.

2. I start out as a college kid---one who doesn't get the chance to graduate.

3. I blame another student for ruining my handsome face.

Yup, that's Doom all right. Went to an upstate college in New York, conducted some bizarre transdimensional experiments in his dorm room, the device blew up, scarring his bishonen face. He blamed Reed Richards for the debacle, because Reed dared to point out that Doom's figures were off. He was expelled from college, and took up with some reclusive monks. Good memory, GW.

Thanks, but I actually never watched any Fantastic Four so it was less of a good memory, and more of a recall of asking my comic loving boyfriend what was up with Doom's face. Amusingly enough, I don't think the scar was that bad--but placing a searing hot iron mask immediately on top of it probably wasn't a very smart idea either.

Anyhow,
1. My wife and I come across an orphaned baby left on our doorstep.
2. Despite my dislike of the infant, my wife insists that I help nurture and bring him up.
3. Due to his stupidity, I end up mostly getting hurt.

I haven't a clue for this one. Maybe someone else knows.

7. No, our little ugly hatchling does not grow up to be beautiful, just big--and still ugly.
8. I try to teach my foster son how to catch a chicken, unfortunately, he doesn't quite understand the concept of "Give it to him!"
9. He also doesn't understand that hand grenades are not eggs.

I'll see what I can find. But in all likelihood, someone else has seen this one. Can't say I ever saw it myself.

Oh, gosh. I think I know the answer but I can't remember the character's name or the cartoon he was in. I can see the image in my head though. Well... I'll keep at it.

Found it! It's Monte from Strife With Father.

A sophisticated English sparrow couple finds an orphaned Beaky Buzzard and takes him in.
Monte's wife convinces him that Beaky will grow up to be beautiful (which he doesn't).
Monte get's hurt due to Beaky's stupidity.
Beaky was in 4 shorts.
Monte tries to teach him how to hunt prey.

Okey dokie then. Here's mine.

When our home is destroyed, we are forced to go out into the unknown.
