We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

The Mystery Cartoon Character Game, ongoing-ier.

    I've thought, and thought, but I haven't a clue.

Okay, I've got time before I go to dinner. Three more clues comin':

    4) To be fair, this character isn't the only criminal: the two main characters are charlatans and brigands as well. But these are the good guys compared to the villain, who takes a Joker-like delight in slaughter and bloodshed.

    5) The story starts out on one continent, and crosses the Atlantic (not the Pacific) to resume on another continent. It's the new locale where we meet this outlaw cutie.

    6) Somewhat like Lola Bunny, this character wears a Bare Your Midriff outfit. Understandable, because she's cute and her hometown is warm. And wowwee, that girl got hips on her, mmm mmm mmm. :jawdrop::woot::happy:

I'm not sure about this one. Which is just as well, since I can't prepare and post a character until Sunday anyway.

Guess it's up to me after all. It's Chel, from "The Road To El Dorado."

Yes, this is Chel the native girl from El Dorado in Mexico, who is the first to encounter Miguel and Tulio riding Altivo (the horse). She has clearly made off with a golden head, for which some law enforcers pursue her. The Road to El Dorado was one of those Dreamworks Animation films that tried to match Disney's work. It bombed, according to Box Office Mojo. Good try, though.

So add a +1 to EmeraldIsle's total, and let her have control of the board. :)

Thanks, OUB. Now for one who's so untapped, he deserves a place in this game:

    1. I debuted in animation way back in 1915, making this year my 100th anniversary as a cartoon character.

    2. I have the same initials as a boy who lives in a shoe, and a name that sounds like a physical injury.

    3. I have my own Fourth Of July cartoon, in which I teach my dog how to set off fireworks, and also contend with a troublesome parrot and her owner.

Ah, an easy one. It's Bobby Bumps, and the cartoon is Bobby Bumps' Fourth.

Thanks. I was able to quickly put together a character.

    I'm a very unsuccessful criminal.
    I'm obsessed with my nemesis.
Even moving to a different country couldn't rid me of that kid.

Don't have a single clue. Besides, it's best to let someone else have a turn.

Ok, I think this should do it.

Killing my nemesis will be a dream come true.
It all started when he foiled my plans to frame my boss for a robbery.
I fancy myself quite the genius.

Somehow, I have visions of a self-satisfied, mustache-twirling villain, so I'll lob the brick: Crabby Appleton, from the Tom Terrific segments on Captain Kangaroo.

Hmm, I thought someone would have got this by now. Oh well. Last three clues.

I appeared quite a few times on a current TV series.
I'm known as my stage name even though my regular name is known.
My voice actor is well-known for being in a couple of successful sitcoms.

No takers? Ok, here is a bonus clue.

My voice actor starred in Frasier.

Yes! It's Sideshow Bob from The Simpsons.

Bart is Bob's nemesis who he wants to kill.
In his first appearance, Bob tried to frame Krusty for a robbery.
In an episode, the Simpsons go to Italy where they find Bob in a village.
Bob's real name is Robert Terwilliger.
He is voiced by Kelsey Grammer, who starred in Frasier.

That was a close one. Ok emeraldisle, you're up.

Thanks, Salty. Now here's one that shouldn't take too long to figure out:

    1. I keep saying it never hurts to help.

    2. I was eventually joined by some terrible thunder lizards.

    3. My name's an exclamation of fear.

Eek the Cat--seriously, I only saw the show maybe once or twice as a kid, and yet it stayed in my mind forever--not to mention I've revisited an episode or two.
