We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

The Mystery Cartoon Character Game, ongoing-ier.

Nice. I'm not ready to go digging back that far, but I still found an untapped vein that I think will prove worthwhile:

    1) This character is in the public domain, and has been adapted into film and television many times. For this purpose, this character appears in a regularly televised animated series.

    2) Functioning somewhat like Doctors Without Borders, this character travels the globe to bring aid to those in need.

    3) As the series title indicates, this character has a medical degree. However, this character has found an ingenious way to circumvent cumbersome and expensive lab tests to conduct a diagnosis.

I know this, but since I have no new characters to post at this time, I'll let someone else take a crack at it.

Hey, Youtube is full of videos recording half-court heaves that hit the mark. This one does it, too. Yes, this is Doctor Dolittle from the cartoon series by DePatie-Freleng. Since he can talk to the animals, he doesn't need a lot of diagnostic equipment to discern what's wrong. Instead, the good doctor simply asks the patient what the trouble is. Gazoozles easier that way. :)

Congrats, Salty, this half-court heave scores you a fine +1, and control of the board. [toast]

Sorry this took me so long. I had a full day.

I'm the only character who has a name.
I'm the youngest in the family.
    We are being interviewed.

I believe this is Andrew, the little polar bear from Creature Comforts. He's asking his father if he likes steak and chips with lions in it.

Awesome--had to look the little guy's name up--but that's probably my favorite scene in that short--especially with the mother polar bear head palming herself.

I don't want to be too difficult--I have a trip on Sunday and will be back Wednesday evening.

    1. I don't like a certain type of critter.
    2. A newly minted superhero arrives to stop me.
    3. In the end, he goes off to join the marines.

Unfortunately, I'm not able to put a character together today. Things are busy, and I keep getting interrupted.
I'll pass my turn to whoever wants it.

Good, cuz I have one now:

    1. I'm found way beneath the Earth.

    2. I join the title character and his companions in the 80's version of the series.

    3. My name has nothing to do with a music-themed restaurant chain.

This sounds like Hard Rock, sort of like Igoo from the Herculoids, that helped defend Jonny Quest from baddies. Although, Roger Bannon was originally assigned by the Justice Department as Quest's bodyguard. The good doctor is too valuable to be "bothered" by enemy agents. Okay, then Hard Rock guards Jonny, seeing as they're about equally bright.

OUB, you nailed it again. Good job, and welcome to another turn. :) Now for the clues:

    1. He's discovered underground in the episode "The Monolith Man."

    2. Self-explanatory.

    3. The Hard Rock Cafe is a music-themed chain of restaurants, hotels, and even casinos. But this guy is totally unrelated to them.

That was a memorable character, and taps into a series that had gone untapped until then. Good picking. :)

    1) This character began life in comic books, and has been adapted at least three times into animated series, each by a different studio.

    2) This character is part of a team of Good Guys, being both the team Leader and the Smart Guy.

    3) While a fervent advocate of science and technology, this character isn't intractable. In fact, he's very flexible.

Ok, since no one else answered, I'll supply it. It's Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four.

Precisely, this is Reed Richards / Mister Fantastic of Marvel Comics' Fantastic Four. First adapted by Gantray-Lawrence, the same people that fielded the Spider Man series. Next came the Hanna-Barbera version, which added Herbie the robot, because Johnny Storm / the Human Torch had already been licensed out to another studio. Newest FF series are by Marvel Productions, though they largely contract out the actual animation. Reed is the scientific one, and also the team's leader. Plus, his highly stretchable body makes him one of the most flexible people on Earth.

Fantastic deduction, EmeraldIsle. That'll net you a fresh +1, plus a chance to field your next Mystery Character. :)

Thanks, OUB. Now here's one that's gone untapped for reasons unknown:

    1. I kill someone I see as the enemy.

    2. As a result, I become an animal I'd rather not be.

    3. Eventually, I discover I took the life of my new friend's mother.
