You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

The Mystery Cartoon Character Game, ongoing-ier.

Perhaps these clues will blow away the smoke:

    4. I was never seen on "Captain Kangaroo."

    5. My series was shown in both black and white and color.

    6. My principal adversary is a wishy-washy wizard.

Luckily, I was able to provide three final clues:

    7. My show is to blame for damaged TV screens.

    8. My voice actress most famously voiced a sailor's girlfriend, and a few other female characters mentioned in this game.

    9. The title of my series contains the words "And you."

Yes, Saltyboot, you got it. Now to explain the clues:

    1. This show lasted from 1953-1957, and returned in 1969.

    2. There was a plastic screen that was part of a kit.

    3. Kids at home could draw anything that was required on the screen.

    4. The show was a standalone, and never aired on "Captain Kangaroo" or any other kiddie show.

    5. Self-explanatory

    6. His principal adversary was Harum Scarum, the wishy-washy wizard.

    7. Kids often ignored the plastic screen, and drew right on the TV, ticking off their parents.

    8. He was voiced by Mae Questel, the voice of Betty Boop, Olive Oyl, Little Audrey, and others.

    9. Self-explanatory again.

So you get another turn, Salty. Good job. :)

Thanks, here's one I put together.

I am amongst the top in my field.
I am also the author of a bestseller.
I have a son whom I never met.

    Three more.

My son did not inherit any of my talents.
My son also didn't know I was his father until after he started working at the establishment I once owned.
In the movie, I appeared to the protagonist (not my son) as a guide.

    That's right, it's Auguste Gusteau.

He's about the top of his field, and he is an author of a bestseller cook book.
He never met his son Alfredo, who didn't inherit any of Gusteau's cooking abilities.
Gusteau is dead, but his spirit appeared to Remy.

    OK Glowworm, you're up.

Yeah, the book part actually threw me off at first.

    1. I live with three women--none of them are my mom.
    2. My mom gave herself up to have me.
    3. My show once had a crossover with another show involving everyone's relative.

Could this be Steven Universe, who lives with Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl? I'm not all that versed in this show's mythos, but it sounds like it'd be within the realm.

Yes, this is Steven Universe--his mother Rose Quartz gave up her physical form to have him. The show also has had a crossover episode featuring Uncle Grandpa--who is apparently everyone's uncle and grandpa.

A recent series, nice choice. :) I need to start boning up on these new cartoons.

    1) This character appears regularly in an entirely animated televised series that's no longer in production. :shy:

    2) Subverting the "dumb blonde" stereotype, this female character acts as The Smart Guy on the team of Good Guys. :angelic:

    3) This character is related to the series' title character, and is named in a nod to her voice actress. :shame:

! Mild surprise. All righty, these should do it:

    4) As smart as this female character is, she can't possibly do what the title character can. She makes a fine second-in-command, though.

    5) There are three characters on the Good Guy team: the peculiar Leader, the pretty Smart Girl, and the naïve Strong Guy. They work for a belly-aching Bad Boss.

    6) This cartoon series was produced at Hanna-Barbera Studios at 3400 Cahuenga Boulevard in Hollywood, California.

Um, no need for that angry emoticon. I've got it now. It's Lori, from "Inch High Private Eye."

Yes, this is Lori, niece to Inch High Private Eye. Spelled L-o-r-i as a small tribute to her voice actress, Kathy Gori. That emoticon is indicative of Mister Finkerton, chief of the Finkerton Detective Agency, who's about as pleasant as Julius Dithers.

I'll go tack on a fresh +1 on the scoreboard, EI, while you take control of the game board. :)

Thanks, OUB. Now here's a no-brainer that I actually should have posted two days ago. Oh, well. Better late than never:

    1. My short is based on a story set in France.

    2. I perform for an inanimate object that's full of grace.

    3. I join a monastery in order to do so.
