We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

The Mystery Cartoon Character Game, ongoing-ier.

Doesn't look like it'll be me. My only guess would've been Peepers from Rock-A-Doodle, who pilots that twin-rotor Sikorsky helicopter, but she stays awake the whole time, and the foursome of Edmund, Patou, Peepers and Snipes ventured to the city to apologize to Chanticleer, not verify any rumor. In fact, they had no idea Chanticleer had become "The King" until they got an Imperial-sized clue.

    Nope, I got nuthin'.

    OK, three more then.

Our ship gets into a bit of a cheesy situation.
I appear in two shorts. Both of which starts off with mom telling me to go to bed.
In the other short, I struggle with a little angle and a little devil.

Very well then, this is little Cheeser from MGM studios.

That is correct. It is little Cheeser from Little Buck Cheeser, and Little Cheeser.

In Little Buck Cheeser, a group of mice build a rocket ship to go to the moon. They wanted to see if the moon is made of cheese. Cheeser, who is the pilot, is the youngest. The ship get's stuck in some Limburger cheese and they almost crash.

    The other clues are self-explanatory.

Yeah, figured I'd have to solve this one myself. IMO though, those shorts were rather bland--if you thought Sniffles was bad... Anyway, there is one gag in Little Cheeser that does make me laugh--Cheeser gets himself drunk and starts making these rather inappropriate looking hand signals. He asks the little angel mouse "What's this?" the angel answers "I don't know." "A man taking a shower!"

    Here we go.
    1. I'm no killer, or hunter.
    2. Yet at my wife's bidding I set off carrying a huge axe.
    3. I may be henpecked--but I'm certainly not going to let myself be duckpecked!

Found it rather quickly. It's Mr. Meek, from "The Wisequacking Duck."

Yes. Mr. Meek is a rather timid little man sent out by his unseen yet domineering wife Sweetie Puss to bring back a duck for dinner "or she'll cook my goose." Yet, eventually Mr. Meek gets rather tired of Daffy's shenanigans and forces a gun straight to his beak twice.

Thanks, Glowworm. Now for another untapped one, and a no-brainer at that:

    1. I'm a big cat.

    2. But I have trouble getting myself a little rodent.

    3. Defeated, I end up whacking myself, and calling myself a sucker.

Last three clues, since I can't think of any more:

    4. I live on the dark continent.

    5. My short is loosely based on an Aesop's fable, in which the rodent frees me from a trap.

    6. The title, oddly enough, mentions a body part that neither I nor the rodent even have!

I'm not letting this one go unanswered. It's the lion--I think his name is Leo from "From Hand To Mouse"
I insist that someone else take my turn though...

Thanks, like I said before, I'm giving my turn to someone else.
The odd part is, I actually never saw this short on tv--you'd think I'd have since I'm a walking resource on Looney Tunes--but aside from almost seeing it one day on tv as a kid, and having my father change the channel. (I used to not be as interested in the pre-50s older shorts.) I later saw this one on the internet.

    Guess I'll go again.

    1. Both I and my band are named after outlaws.

    2. I take orders from a....computer!

    3. Although my series has no holiday episodes, a traditional classic Thanksgiving song and its artist are mentioned in one of them.

I really would like to see FluidGirl go at this one, but she hasn't posted to this thread since Tuesday 26 May 2015. However, since this is from a Hanna-Barbera series, I'd be remiss not to give it some love.

This is the brave and noble Butch Cassidy, face of the band The Sundance Kids and foremost agent of Mister Socrates in thwarting world-domination villains. Sort of a Peter Graves-Jim Phelps combined with David Partridge.

Um, that's David Cassidy/Keith Partridge. But at any rate, you got it right. Good job. :) As for the third clue, in the episode "Double Trouble." "Alice's Restaurant" and Arlo Guthrie are mentioned when both the real and fake princes are asked rock trivia questions by Butch and Wally.

Leave it to me to get the details muddled. *sigh* Oh well, perhaps I can redeem myself with a timely Mystery Character.

    1) This character has appeared only once to date in a feature film, which debuted Friday 15 November 1996.

    2) Despite having a world all his own, it's not enough for this villain, who sends a strike force to Earth to get even more goodies.

    3) Apparently the fetch quest was too much for this character's elite mooks, so he comes to Earth in person to supervise the operation.
