You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

The Mystery Cartoon Character Game, ongoing-ier.

Ah, now I got it. This is Hunch, the Duke of Owls hyperactive nephew from Rock A Doodle. The live action clue threw me off in the beginning and I was chasing down the wrong animated bird until the second set of clues.

Absolutely (or should I say "adequately"?), this is Hunch, the pipsqueak nephew of the Grand Duke in Sullivan Bluth Studios' Rock A Doodle. The story opens with young Edmund being read a bedtime story by his mother while his father and older brothers struggle to sustain a barrier of sandbags against rising flood waters. At one point, Hunch reports that he'd disposed of the heroic party by sucking them down an "adequate pipe." The Grand Duke pretends to fawn on his nephew, until he thunders, "You idiot!" which transforms Hunch into ... this goofy little mess of protoplasm. "That's not an adequate pipe; it's an aqueduct pipe. It leads straight into the city." Hunch carries with him a Swiss Army knife that comes with everything: a parasol, a one iron, and a can opener. Hunch uses that last tool to tear away a roof vent on Pinky's trailer to get at the heroes held prisoner therein. Voiced by the late Charles Nelson Reilly, sounding like Hoodoo from Lidsville still giddy from laughing gas at the dentist's office. It's especially funny when he soundtracks his flight into the city with Flight of the Valkyries, as if.

So, a fresh +1 is awarded to Glowworm, along with control of the game board. And my compliments. :)

    Got one
    1. I recount my day to my husband.
    2. At the end of the short he gets a present.
    3. A little old lady wants to deposit $2oo at the bank--in pennies!

Thanks, Glowworm. Now I have one that shouldn't take more than three clues:

    1. My animated series premiered the same year as my third and final movie.

    2. Along with my mentor, and a girl, I go after an elusive object.

    3. Unfortunately, my show "waxed off" after just one season.

Obviously, this wasn't a no-brainer like I thought. No more clues after these:

    4. My nickname is derived from a martial art.

    5. At least in the animated series, I don't disguise myself as a shower.

    6. My voice actor went on to voice one who harnessed fire.

Can't believe this one was a stumper. The answer is Daniel LaRusso, from "The Karate Kid.."

    1. The animated series premiered on NBC in 1989, the same year that "Karate Kid III" was released to theaters.

    2. Along with Mr. Miyagi, and Taki, Daniel searched for a shrine that kept getting away from them.

    3. It only lasted one season, by which time NBC was almost done showing cartoons on Saturday mornings.

    4. Self-explanatory.

    5. In the first movie, he attended a Halloween party in a shower costume. He never pulled this off in the animated version.

    6. He was voiced by Joey Dedio, who went on to voice Wheeler in "Captain Planet And The Planeteers."

Rather than post another new character, I've decided to briefly quit both this and the A to Z game until there's more active participation. So feel free to post your own new characters.

The Karate Kid was made into an animated series? News to me. Also, nice red herring trail with "one who harnessed fire." That sent me chasing after Prince Zuko of the Fire Nation. Which, of course, is a dead end.

I didn't know this had an animated series either, but then again, practically anything became an animated series.

I also didn't know about this series. I was thinking about three animated movies before the series. Well, I always learn something new here.

Ok, I found one that's surprisingly not on the list. (I tripled checked)

In my first short, my name is opposite of who I am.
However, I am known by another name.
Unlike my siblings, I am a very incompetent hunter.

Oh, this is Killer, as his mother calls him, from Bugs Bunny Gets The Boid. He's better known as Beaky Buzzard. His three siblings have no trouble launching from the family nest to prowl the skies for victims. Killer ... is too acrophobic to leave the nest. Mother, however, insists.
