You WIll Need To Reset Your Password!!!

We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

I thought this one would be rather easy. Ok, these are the last three clues:

    4. My series originated in Dallas.

    5. I often change color to reflect my moods.

    6. In a '70's PSA, I introduce the Unlitter Bird.

Of course - it's JOT, the beautifully designed and animated Southern Baptist bouncing circle boy!

Got it again , Pete. All the clues are self-explanatory. So the board is yours again. Good work. :)

Well, the reason may be that JOT didn't air in all markets. To be honest, I never saw the show in either Newburgh or Boston. I only caught it during my travels to Carolina Beach back in the early 70's.

I grew up/live close to Dallas and I remember watching Peppermint Place, but I don't remember JOT. Maybe I wasn't into it.

I only came across it via an old post on Cartoon Brew, and checked it out on YouTube.

It's bedtime here in the UK, so my next character will have to wait 'til tomorrow.

I think the reason I may not have heard about it was because it was before my time--I was born in the late 80s and I live in the Northeast part of the states. It may not have aired there.

Ok - here is the next character...

    1) I am the villain of the movie. But I am not very scary, being both foolish and inept!

    2) I leave evidence of my involvement in crime, which I have to retrieve.

    3) Having failed in my first attempt to assure my inheritance, I fall victim to my second.

Edgar the butler from "The Aristocats"
    1. Definitely the villain--but not a very menacing one--laughable on the other hand--yes.
    2. Edgar leaves behind his umbrella, sidecar, bowler hat, and the cats bed basket while getting attacked by two dogs. He later goes back to get his things--of course in the silliest way possible.
    3. He fails to dispose of the cats the first time--and he winds up in the trunk meant for the cats that he wishes to send to Timbuktu.

Sorry for the delay, I always give the computer to my mother when she really needs it, so I had no time to really post a character--that and I had to go to work.

    Anyhow let's try this one.

    1. I often place a bag over my head when I get embarressed.
    2. I look just like my father.
    3. My father is not very good at hunting or fishing.

Yes, I figured I might as well put the little guy up on our list. Technically, the "Spoiled Brat" name is only used in "Goldimouse and the Three Cats" (Freleng's only short featuring Jr.) although Sylvester also calls him Jr. as well.
    1. As a reoccuring gag Jr. will often place a paper bag over his head whenever his father embaresses him.
    2. Self explanitory.
    3. Every time Sylvester tries to teach his son how to catch mice, fish or birds--it really doesn't go well. One time he even got beat up by a butterfly.

    Here I go.

I am based on a real person.
I left home to travel the great unknown.
Even after death, I continue my work.

    Maybe... Johnny Appleseed

Real name John Chapman, who spent his life raising apple tree nurseries across the Mid West.
"Get on the wagon rollin' West, out to the great unknown" sing the pioneers, and after encouragement from his guardian angel Johnny follows.
On his death he is unwilling to leave his life's work, but the angel persuades him that "where we're headed, they're low on apple trees" - so he is now responsible for "apple-blossom skies"!

That's correct peterhale, it's Johnny Appleseed. A segment from Disney's Melody Time.

    Take it away!
