    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Sorry. Haven't a single clue this time. Maybe someone else has seen these triplets.

    Okay, three more.

    We're not evil, just stupid.
    We fought cows... and lost.
Our voice actor has done a lot in the animation industry, however this is the only movie he acted in.

I've got it--these are the Willie Brothers from Home on the Range--which I have not--and plan to never see. The cow clue did it for me, as I vaguely remembered there being three blonde guys during the villain's song. (Yes, I have looked up that song against my better judgement.

Yep, I figured the cow clue will narrow it down. The clues are self explanatory.

Sam J. Levine was the voice of the brothers, but he mainly works in the writing and animation dept.

Yeah, Home On the Range is one of those rare Disney movies I really DON'T want to see.

    Anyhow, let's do this one.
    1. I am in a narrative on hunting and fishing.
    2. I never speak.
    3. I take my mother in law hunting. Unfortunately, this is probably the last time I'll do that.

Easy. It's Ed Jones, from "Field And Scream." :)

Indeed. The first two clues are self explanitory--the last one, Ed takes his mother-in-law hunting--and gives her a deer cloak to put on. Guess who gets mistaken for a deer?:) I absolutely adore the ending of this short where the deer drives off with Ed tied to the front of the car!

OK, let's see what I can come up with.

    1. My cartoon was a segment which was rotated with three others*
    2. My cartoon was based on a toy line
    3. I didn't get my own cartoon until about four years after I was created as a toy

*a better explination on clue #1: For the rotation, we'd have the main show, then either my cartoon, or two others.

Here are three more clues. I think these should clinch it.

    1. I'm a creature of the night
    2. I'm an interesting specimen of my species, because I have arms
    3. I have a glowing personality

If I don't answer this one--I think I'll get in trouble--after all this is my username. I'm guessing this is baby Glo Worm of Glo Friends?

Looks like Saltyboot beat me to it by 3 minutes!

Well, there is the Glo Worm, and the baby Glo Worm. I didn't know witch one to pick, so I just chose the adult one.

Saltyboot is correct. It is the original Glo Worm from "The Glo Friends." What can I say? I'm a Child of the 80's, and the original Glo Worm was one of my all time favorite toys when I was a kid ("The Glo Friends", not so much, though, for reasons unknown)

    1. "The Glo Friends" was a segment on "My Little Pony 'n Friends" which rotated with two others ("Potato Head Kids" and "Moondreamers") after the "My Little Pony" segment

    2. Self explanatory

    3. The original Glo Worm toy came out in 1982 (the same year I was born!) but he didn't appear in cartoon form until 1985, which was actually three years later. When I wrote the clue, I had forgotten the Glo Friends had a Christmas special in 85 before "MLP 'n Friends."

    4. I don't really think I need to go into this one

    5. Glo Worm is kind of a worm-like creature, but he has arms. Worms don't have arms

    6. Again, don't need to go into detail with this one.

I actually *was* going to use the clue, "I share my name with a member here on the BCDB forum," but I felt that would have been TOO easy.

I had the glo worm butterfly as a kid--incidentally my brother was born the same year you were born--so I think the glo worm butterfly was a hand-me-down. I sadly don't have him any more. I actually know very little about the tv show--although yes, I did technically give myself my online name years ago because I wanted something cute and catchy--and yes, the toy was sort of what I had in mind.
