We just moved hosts on this system, and this has caused a few updates. One is the way we encode and store the encoded passwords.

Your old passwords will NOT work. You will need to reset your password. This is normal. Just click on reset password from the log in screen. Should be smooth as silk to do...

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Other Side Of Maleficent

I have been looking forward to Maleficent with equal amounts of anticipation and dread. On one hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, so cold and so pure, and I want desperately to see more of her and her back-story. On the other hand, she is easily my favorite Disney villain, and I would hate to see her parodied, taken lightly or ultimately destroyed in a film that does not understand this great character. The good news is that this film almost gets it right; but that is also the bad news.

    Disney To Feast In France

The follow up to Disney’s 2013 Academy Award Winning short Paperman has been announced, and it will premiere at France’s Annecy International Animated Film Festival. Titled The Feast, the short looks to be based on the same stylized CG techniques used on last years Paperman, a more natural and hand-drawn look to computer animation.

    Renegades of Animation: Pat Sullivan

Pat Sullivan became famous worldwide for his creation of Felix the Cat. What most animation histories gloss over is Sullivan’s checkered past and longtime standing as a wildcat renegade. He didn’t follow the rules. And he made damn sure to fully protect his intellectual properties.

Nope, not Katara. I've never seen the series, so I had to look up Appa (having six legs intrigued me). He's cute.

    More clues tomorrow.

Yea, the site is back up! Now for the last set of clues.

My friends are very large for arthropods.
We don't have to worry about food. Our transportation is food.
A certain skeleton made a cameo in this stop-motion movie.

Aha! Found it! It's James, from "James And The Giant Peach." Don't know anything about an animated skeleton being in it, though.

    That is correct!

James lives with his aunts and is forced to work at home.
He escapes inside of a giant peach which is inhabited by giant arthropods.
In the beginning of the movie, James' parents are killed by a rhino (made from a cloud)
The Centipede lied about his travels, and get everyone lost.
While looking for a compass, they come across a pirate skeleton (Jack Skellington's cameo).

    You're up![toast]

Thanks, Salty. Now here's a good one for the season:

    1. I became a cartoon character in 1963, when the title character starred in new, made-for-TV shorts.

    2. I'm the only one in the series who isn't human--in fact, my nickname is The Galloping Ghost.

    3. Although I'm named for something scary, I'm actually friendly, helpful, and tame.

Yes, it's Nightmare. Now to explain the clues:

    1. Nightmare became a cartoon character for "The New Casper Cartoon Show." She was also specifically created for the series. Casper and the others were previously seen in theatrical shorts.

Clues two and three are self-explanatory. So you go again, Saltyboot. Good job. :)

Thanks, I have a character now.

During my lifetime, I was ridiculed.
    Only one person loved me.
He's also the only one to put up with my crabbiness and temper.

Can't figure this one out. Hopefully, Glowworm, Pete, or OUB will have the answer once they find out the site's back up.

I think that this is Constance, the fat lady from the circus sideshow. Everybody else came to gawk at her and jeer, except Horace Nebbercracker, who came to rescue her and marry her. Their animated film, by the way, is Monster House by Dreamworks Pictures.

Okay, at last, access granted. I don't never wanna see 'nudder "~siriisms/" string as long as I live, and for thirty years after I die.

    1) This character has appeared only once in an animated feature film, though he's based on a public domain character. In this instance, he's given a slightly different name, but retains the same modus operandi.

    2) This character is the main villain of the work, though someone else does oodles of not-nice things to the townsfolk. However, it is this character, ne'er-do-well that he is, that attempts to murder another public domain character, which would make the villainy irreversible.

    3) It is customary for the villain's plans to come unraveled. This character himself becomes unraveled, before being killed by the protagonist.

Yes, this is ol' Oogie Boogie from Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, a derivative of the boogeyman. Jack Skellington sets events in motion by hijacking Christmas, leaving icky spooky weird stuff under the tree on Christmas Eve, but it's Oogie Boogie that tries to dispose of good ol' Santa Claus. He's defeated when a loose thread on his outfit gets tangled in one of his deathtraps, denuding him.

Thanks for the Winner stars, Saltyboot: take a fresh +1 for your trophy case, and lay out another fine Mystery Character. :D

Thanks OUB! And you're certainly welcome about the stars.

Upon my travels, I came across a strange and wondrous place.
    I'm not exactly welcomed their.
A disguise will help me fit in.

On second thought, I have the answer now. It's Sandy, from "Noozles."

    1. She visits Koala Walla Land, accompanied by Blinky and Pinky.

    2. Humans aren't welcomed there--in fact, they're arrested if discovered.

    3. She wears a koala mask as a disguise in order to fit in.

Hmm, that's a very good guess but she's not the character. My character shows up alone.

OK, time for me to narrow it down.

    I'm the only human here.
I found the girl of my dreams.
When I was discovered, the chef wanted to cook me.
